Our story
The story of Hotel Alpina began with an idea and a passion. In the first generation, the Schmed family founded a butchery in Brigels – rooted in tradition, regional and with the highest quality standards. Soon after came a guesthouse, then a restaurant – and finally, Hotel Alpina.
Today, Reto and Rosina Schmed run the house with great dedication in its second generation. The butchery remains an essential part of our family, still run with the same commitment by Reto’s brother.
Over the years, the hotel has been constantly renovated, modernised and further developed – while always staying true to its roots. The blend of tradition and modern spirit, of family history and hospitality, makes Hotel Alpina today what it is: a place with soul.
